VM Provider | VM Provider

| vPar Provider | The vPar Provider that
was included with the March 2006 release of HP-UX 11i v2 (B.11.23)
does not work properly. With the March 2006 version installed, HP
SIM and the VSE Management software do not discover and display virtual
partitions correctly. The vPar Provider that is included with the
VSE Management software fixes this problem. However, it presents the
same version number as the March 2006 version. The same
problem exists with the HP-UX 11i v1 (B.11.11) version of the
vPar Provider when used with WBEM version A.02.00.09. This problem
does not occur with the HP-UX 11i v3 (B.11.31) vPar Provider. You can fix this problem by executing the following command
on each system where the vPar Provider has been installed: /opt/wbem/bin/cimmof -n root/cimv2/vpar \
/opt/vparprovider/mof/HPUX_VParLocalPartition.mof |
Alternatively, on systems running HP-UX 11i v2, you can
remove the installed version of the vPar Provider and install the
version delivered with the VSE Management software (or forcibly reinstall
the VSE Management Software version). |
